Happy New Year!

The song for the second meeting of the year was led by Bill Stracener; Dale Hodges led the Pledge; Joe Culotta said Grace; and Bill Scruggs made the Introductions.

Bob Ward's guest was Steve St. Cyr, who used to be a member. Hopefully, he'll rejoin. David Cooley's guest was his wife, Natasha. David Cresson brought Julie Dauzat for another visit. (David, sign her up!)

Brandt Edwards ran the year's second meeting. (El Presidente was off cruising.) Brandt reminded everyone (especially Board members) of the Board meeting on Tuesday, January 14, at 5:30 p.m. at Lamar.

Wilson Baldridge announced that the LSU Circle K is having a Bowling Service/Social on Jan. 25, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. More details to come.

Jerry Boyce introduced our speaker, Dr. Valerie Burton. Dr. Burton is a neurodevelopmental pediatrician and is the director of the Our Lady of the Lake Child Assessment Center located on Goodwood Ave. The center addresses the needs of children with learning or developmental disabilities, such as ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, speech and language difficulties, and autism. For a referral or to obtain additional information, you can call 765-6346.

The jackpot was lost by George Hollingsworth.

Next week's speaker is Beverly Major of LSU Career Services.
