gave all a general update on each of the major sports at LSU.
Some highlights included:
Football:
Quarterback competition, loss of line coach, recruiting battles and ticket
prices rising. He said we should
keep a watch on Randall Mackey from
Basketball:
he suggests
we could have best front line in nation. One
prominent sports figure included LSU as a team to make the elite 8.
Womens
Basketball:
one of the best in the nation. Reminded
us that Simone Augustus has only 6 home games remaining.
Baseball:
struggling this year. Leading return
hitters bat only .253. Lost for some
time the first baseman. Probably
lost for baseball career is the 3rd baseman.
Softball:
hold on their new stadium because of costs.

meetings

Gardening.
It
is intended that this becomes a quarterly project.

The next one is scheduled for
Cal
Robbins office. Everyone is
encouraged to attend.
Baseball
Tourney
it was announced at a previous meeting that because of several personnel
issues, the club will not be in a position to provide adequate support to this
worthy cause, and therefore will not be involved this year.
We also learned that the weekend was unavailable.
