WEDNESDAY'S WIDGETS, selected with malice aforethought by J.M., were Ed Painter, Squealing; "Jungle Jeff" Koonce, Pledging; and Brandt Edwards, Entreating.

CAESAR'S COMMENTARIES

Once again this S.O.B., Supervisor of Bulletins or Sweet Old Boy - take that Chang Wang - pays tribute to the Bull. writers who compose the newsworthy Bulletins with such skill: C.W., Allan Brent; S.L. Esq., Steve LeBlanc; E.H., Esteban Herrera; and C.W.H., Charlie Hair. And praise from Caesar, oh, you know.

The annual meeting of the "MRS. W. CARRUTH FOUNDATION FOR THE BLIND . . . " was the subject of an article in the Feb. 27 Advocate. It was founded by our own Philip K. in 1981 to honor his mother, a well-known musician and herself founder of the B.R. Community Concerts. The Foundation works closely with the La State Library in providing Big Print and Talking Books . . . for the blind and handicapped people. (Such as this visually - impaired Editor). It does splendid work.

Guests introduced by Shah Jodi were David Cooley's and Max Constantin's sons, and Olin Dart of L.S.U. Kiwanis. The L.S.U. group is holding its annual Jambalaya dinner on March 13.

Bob "Bloke" Schmidt proclaimed Sat. April 5 as Annual Perkins Road Day. More details later.

A RIP-ROARING SUCCESS was the 2003 CCK High School Baseball Tournament conducted at L.S.U. Box Stadium on Sat. March 1.

He'll deny it, but tons of credit go to STEVE BROWN whose talents for organizing and choosing competent help were never more in evidence. Steve reported that circa $5000 was collected from gate receipts, corp. donations, sales of concessions, photos, etc. Everyone worked with distinction very well, and Steve singled out several for work "above and beyond" the call. Their names will appear in the next Bull. At any rate, Steve Brown's hard and dedicated labors greatly helped this Club.

Our new secretary is Chad Olivier. Our new Board Member is David Cooley. Jodi reminded us that the next Board Meeting - an important one - will be held on Tuesday, March 11.

H.B. "Digger" Parker introduced our speaker, Conrad Adams, owner/director of University Hypnosis Institute located in Baton Rouge.

His background is most impressive. Mr. Adams is a Life Fellow of the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Assoc., inter alia, and was selected as "Therapist of the Year."

Mr. Adams' presentation held us spellbound. His explanation of the subconscious mind and the advantages of putting good, positive thoughts in our own minds was startling. His talk was outstanding.

The "Attendance Prize" was not won - this time - by either Bill Eason or Chas. "Preacher" Rea. It was lost by Ed ?, Dick "Rabbit" Roberts, and Steve "Baseball" Brown.

Next Wednesday, March 12, Jerry Boyce has arranged for us to hear Ms. Sheila Arrington of the "Aneurysm Outreach" firm.

Written with taciturnity and shrewd horse sense from the rear of the horse.
