March 19 Meeting - OLOL Auditorium B

Announcements:

• Six of our members helped with the Special Olympics: Bill Stracener, Brett Mason, Ed Calamari, John Ryan, Jodi Moscona, and Chad Olivier.
• Perkins Road Cleanup is scheduled for April 5.
• The Club Meetings and Administration Committee will meet after the Wednesday, March 26 meeting. On the agenda - the Bulletin.
• Bob Wales and Brandt Edwards have been nominated by the Board as delegates to the International Convention. The club will need to approve the nomination at the March 19 meeting.
• March 19 Meeting - OLOL Auditorium B. Beef Month is the program.

The Club's guests included Todd Baldwin, Ralph Johnson, Daniel Shroder, and Candice Griffin with LSU Circle K.

Jodi introduced our speaker, Sheila Arrington, head of Aneurysm Outreach, Inc. Sheila talked about abdominal aortic aneurysms, or "AAA." AAA is 75 to 90% fatal. It is the 13^th leading cause of death, and the 3^rd leading cause of sudden death in men. Risk factors include smoking, family history, and high blood pressure. AAA usually has no symptoms associated with it. Sheila's organization raises awareness, provides education, and seeks contribution to help fund research to detect and prevent the disease.
