This meeting was held at Taste of China, our newest gathering place.

Our guests were Ralph Johnson and Darlene Schroeder from the LSU Circle K and Max Constantin’s granddaughter.

David Cresson’s son is doing well. He was at OLOL due to breathing problems.

Jodi Moscona lost the jackpot due to his not wearing his pin.

Guest Speaker: George Richard, President of LA Ballooning Foundation

He talked about the upcoming event being held in BR this August, which will be bigger than ever. There will be fireworks on both the Friday & Saturday nights of the event. Hotel accommodations are provided for the participants. It only costs $100 to enter the event. Balloons can cost up to $25,000. There are over 500 balloonists in the US . At the upcoming event, the top 40 will be awarded prizes. He stated that ballooning for competition is more about accuracy than speed & that one can not live on the prize money from these competitions.
