Seated at the head table with President Jodi Moscona were yours truly, Joe Culotta, and our speaker Gayle Mack. Jodi chose Ed Painter to sing, David Cresson to lead the pledge, and Brandt Edwards to pray. Brett Mason introduced our guests who included Dr. Stan Carpenter of the Downtown Kiwanis Club and Todd Baldwin of the LSU Circle K. Chad Olivier had as his guest Stephanie Dixon.

Todd Baldwin of the LSU Circle K Club reported on all of the awards and officer recognitions that their club received at the District Convention last month

David Cresson announced that Red Stick Kiwanis will be having their Red Stick Golf Classic next Monday at the University Club. He also announced that Our Lady of the Lake Hospital was sponsoring two teams and anyone wanting to play could possibly play for free. If interested, please contact David.

Jodi Moscona announced the winner of the University High School Key Club scholarship was Erica Martin, Rick Martin's daughter. He also announced that the CHS banquet is Sunday at 4:30 and we need an interclub. Rick Martin, Jodi, and Jason Schwartzenburg are scheduled to go. The banquet will be at the CHS Student Union. Jodi also announced that the Board of Directors will meet on May 13 at 5:30 p.m. at the Lamar Advertising conference room and everybody is invited to attend.

Bill Eason announced that he is a proud great-grandfather.

Joe Culotta introduced our program. Gayle Mack, the Executive Director of the Big Brother Program, spoke about the 22-year history of working with disadvantaged kids in Baton Rouge. They serve approximately 7,000 children with a full time staff of four and a number of volunteers. They provide tutoring, mentors, and community service projects for these kids. They need volunteers, so if interested please contact them.

H.P. Walker announced "bulletin writers needed - no prior journalistic experience required." If you would like to write the Bulletin every five or six weeks please contact H. P. Walker.

In the jackpot were Jay Jalenak, Ed Painter, and Steve Henry who was not present.
