Gracing the head table with President Jodi Moscona were Allan Brent, gubernatorial candidate Bobby Jindal (our speaker), and yours truly. Jodi chose Jerry Boyce to sing, Brett Mason to lead the pledge, and Charlie Rea to pray. Bob Schmidt introduced our guests: Carlos Ortiz had his wife, Natasha. Chris Frink with the Advocate was a guest of the club. We were pleased to have visits from Morris Welch, Lt. Gov. Elect of the LSU club, and District 8A Lt. Gov. Fatemeh Melekan.

Jodi announced that H.P. Walker is home recovering from a stroke. H.P. would appreciate some phone calls. Also, Jodi announced that LSU Circle K is having a blood drive June 12-13 at the LSU Minibarn. Members are invited to participate.

An interclub is planned for June 9th at noon with the Southeast Kiwanis club at Drusilla Restaurant. Jodi, Dick Luedtke, Charles Rea, Cliff Comeaux, and Bill Eason all volunteered to go.

Bill Stracener announced that Dale Hodges is playing basketball in the National Senior Olympics.

Allan Brent introduced our speaker, Bobby Jindal, who has been a speaker at our club on several occasions. Bobby's three point plan for Louisiana, if elected governor, is to make it easier for business and industry to create jobs in La., to build on our strengths, and to get control of government spending.

In the Jackpot were Bob Wiemer, Allan Brent, and Charles Hair who was not eligible.
