A Bulletin for the Nov. 13 meeting was written by Steve LeBlanc, but Steve's computer was not on speaking terms with Rick Martin's computer. The malfunction was discovered only on Tuesday Nov. 19.

NOV. 20 NOTE - Above problem has been corrected.

The Old Editor is penning this Nov. 20 issue which will be notable for its taciturnity. (No Shavian wit)

The Nov. 20 Four Fugitives were Wm. "Mr. Wu" Stracener, David Cresson, Chad Olivier, and "Silent Cal" Robbins. This quartet led the Vocalizing, Pledging, Praying, and Introducing.

Guests included Charlie Ford, Secretary of LaMissTenn District and two other Kiwanians of high rank in LaMissTenn District: Julia Carter and Ed Ford.

Our Jambalaya Sale on Sat. Nov. 16 was a resounding success, drawing in $ for about 630 sales. George Simoneaux, the Ag. Committee, and volunteers covered themselves with glory.

Chas. "Preacher" Rea distributed papers calling for volunteers to work at our March 1, 2003 "Baseball Jamboree." The papers are self-explanatory.

Our "Laird of the Manor," Jodi Moscona, exhibited dexterity in keeping the Meeting moving at a swift pace. Jodi reminded us that a special committee is exploring the advisability of seeking a new CCK meeting site.

Jodi also announced that the next Board meeting will occur the second Tuesday in December. Bob Schmidt said that the next Habitat Project takes place on Saturday, Nov. 23, 8:30 A.M.

Jerry Boyce introduced our speaker, Ms. Lorraine Dunklee, Volunteers of America. Lorraine gave us a good insight into the Volunteers' raison d'etre, pointing out that the organization, was conceived in 1896 in New York.

The Volunteers serve people in need; Lorraine observed that "Parker House" is a healing residential facility for children who have been abused. A T.V. recording helped to underscore her well-informed comments.

The Jackpot venture did not take place; you saved 50 cents.

Next Wednesday, Nov. 27, La. State Trooper Johnny Brown will brief us about traffic safety and seat belt usage.

H.P.W.

P. S. Send Rick Martin your photos. Seven down and 52 to go!
