Speaker was Former LSU Athletic Director Joe Dean.

Joe Dean discussed his tenure as the LSU AD.  He discussed an interview he recently had with LSU networks' Jeff Palermo.  In the interview he was asked to discuss his biggest challenge, his most emotional, moment and his best successes.  Joe Dean also predicted a 10-1 season in this year's football campaign.  Mr. Dean's biggest challenge was to hire a new head football coach.  In the year he fired Coach Gerry Dinardo, he interviewed Butch Davis, Glenn Mason, and several assistant coaches notably Phil Bennett and Gary Kubiak.   Joe Dean only offered the LSU job to Davis who turned it down to remain at Miami, FL.   Glen Mason walked out on the interview because he wasn't offered the position immediately, and Joe Dean said he wasn't ready to name an assistant coach to the position as head coach of LSU.  In the interim time, Joe received a call from a former Ole Miss Basketball player, Sean Touhy who recommended Nick Saban for the job.  Saban interviewed and the offer was made the rest is history.

Joe Dean's most success was attending the ceremony in which Nacho Albergamo was conferred upon with his Medical Degree.  Joe Dean's most emotional moment was attending the cemetery in Normandy, while viewing 18 year olds names written across the crosses and Stars of David's on tombstones.

Joe also described an emotional tale of LSU star football player who recently passed away by the Name of "Piggy Barnes."  Joe described carrying Piggy's ashes onto Tiger stadium as a very emotional and wonderfully fulfilling moment in his life.

Joe Dean finally told the story of his now infamous saying "String Music!"
