December 18, 2002

Jodi presided with his usual aplomb - it seems to become all those who become presidents!

Past president Jeff made several guest introductions . . . Bob Lauk from Downtown, Carolee Constantine and Brittany Vidal (guests of Max Constantine), Julie and Tommy Dauzat (guests of David Cresson), Claudia Ortiz (guest and daughter of Carlos Ortiz), Jason Darensbourg, Catholic Hi Key Club faculty advisor, who spoke of the CHS upcoming Key Club Garage Sale (bring your old furniture, kitchen items, toys, electronics, clothing, baby items, and accessories. Remember - your trash is another's treasure!) Date is Feb. 1.

Steve Brown reminded us:

1) To select a committee to serve on for our March Baseball tournament, and

2) About the upcoming Holiday Party at his home this Friday at 7:00 P.M. - bring an unwrapped toy.

David Cresson presented Jodi with a check in the amount of $2000, as payment for providing the Jambalaya at the Cresson Memorial Golf Tournament.

Jodi reminded us that the meetings for the next two weeks would be Thursday, Dec. 26 at the Marriott, and Thursday, Jan. 2 at the Marriott. He invited us to pick up our FREE Rx card from Kiwanis.

And finally a wonderful accounting of Harvest Christian Summer Camp, "To Reach the Lost, at any Cost." Helping children to discover each one's special ability, putting a strong emphasis on reading and writing, with special trips to LASC, the Library, recycling plants, etc. All this as a prelude to Daycare. Our presenter was Pat Williams (who also had a few special questions, with comical answers). Jerry . . . another good program!

JACKPOT STORY . . . Same old, same old

#1 DRAW Bob Wiemer (at least you're in the deck)

#2 DRAW John Ryan (at least you're in the deck, too)

#3 DRAW Max Constantin - a nonparticipant

Better luck next week!!

Next week's speaker is unknown.
